HUNTSVILLE – Faun Allen Bronson, 92, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2012. She was born on March 29, 1919 in Ogden, the daughter of Daniel and Ella Wilson Allen. Faun was raised in Huntsville. She graduated from Weber High School.

She knew LaVern Bronson all her life and they were married on October 19, 1939 in Huntsville. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Faun was a wonderful seamstress and learned to sew on a miniature sewing machine. She learned by making doll clothes. This led to a love of sewing and she started working at 18 years of age, sewing bundles of clothes as well as many prom dresses for girls in the town. She sewed many many quilts and donated them to the needy. She taught 4H for 10 years; one of cooking and 9 years of sewing. She worked at Leon's Market, Lowes Hardware, Allied Hardware and McKay Dee Hospital as a Cashier. She and Vern gave service to anyone in need.

She has served in numerous callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A Counselor in the Mutual Presidency and on the Mutual Stake Board. She was President of the Night Relief Society. She was Secretary and then Counselor in the Relief Society for three different Presidencies. She served in the Presidencies for about 10 years. She was also a Visiting Teacher.

Faun is survived by her sons, Kenneth V. Bronson and Russell (Jana) P. Bronson; daughters, DeeAnn (Larry) Strebel and Linda Geary; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers, Wilson, Mark, and Dean; and sisters, Mern Allen and Pauline Weaver Harrington.

A special thanks to Willow Glen Health and Rehab staff, nurses and aides for their love, care, and kindness they offered to mom. A very special thanks to Jennylynn of Bristol Hospice, you are wonderful.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Huntsville 1st Ward, 277 South 7400 East, Huntsville, Utah. Friends may visit family on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Huntsville City Cemetery.
