Mary Baird Porter, born September 19, 1844, died March 2, 1923, at home of her daughter, Mrs. Denton H. Blair in Clintonville. Married John A. Porter June 23, 1868. Eight children, five boys and three girls, all living but two, James of Tulsa; John of Clarion; Frederick, Clintonville; Anna, dec.; Arthur of Portland; Ella, dec.; Utillis, Clintonville, and Mrs. Ada Blair, Clintonville. Leaves two brothers and one sister: John M. Baird of Boise, Ida., and William A. Baird of St. Augustine, Fla., and Mrs. Sarah Phipps of Pittsburgh. They united with Presbyterian church in early life... he was senior elder when he died. Services Monday morning March 5, 1923, in home of daughter, Mrs. Denton H. Blair, Clintonville, her pastor Rev. Thomas F. Kerr, assisted by Rev. J. Brown of M. E. Church. All children present except Arthur. Interment in McKee cemetery beside her husband....
