The following named children preceded their mother in death: Allen Edward Stanard, Lorena Fay Stanard, Charles Maxwell Stanard and Walter Stanard.
The deceased was born on the Dryden Homestead north of Linneus where she resided until her marriage. She and her husband lived in the state of Kansas for a number of years, after which they returned to Missouri where they resided until 1910 when they moved to Ipswich, S.D., where Mr. Stanard died in 1918.
Mrs. Stanard later moved to Aberdeen where she made her home the remainder of her life.
Mrs. Stanard was a member of the Methodist church early in life, but later accepted the Baptist faith, to which she remained steadfast. She was in the Ladies Aid and Miss...? Societies, as long as her health permitted.
She was a kind, loving wife and mother and her departure is mourned by her splendid children and a host of relatives and friends.
Services were held at the home of her nephew, Dr. Dryden, at Purdin, MO., thence to the First Baptist church of Linneus where Rev. E. John Meyers, Pastor of the church officiated.
She was laid to rest in the City Cemetery where a large number had gathered to pay their last respects to a beloved friend and a noble Christian mother.
