ADA -- Margie M. Badertscher, age 90, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at 9:25 a.m. at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton, Ohio.

She was born on April 12, 1921 in Lima, Ohio to Clinton and Ursel (Long) Morehead who preceded her in death. On June 3, 1939 she married Harold A. Badertscher, who preceded her in death on May 16, 2011.

Margie was a homemaker and helped with the running of the family farm. She was a member of the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church, Ada; A member of the Sugar Grove United Methodist Women's Society. She taught Sunday School at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Ada and County Line Church of the Brethren, Rural Ada. Margie was also a counselor for the Billy Graham Crusades in Columbus, Ohio.

Surviving are six sons: Don (Myrna) Badertscher of Ada, Frank (Pat) Badertscher of Ada, Ken (Sue) Badertscher of Pickerington, Dale (Sharon) Badertscher of Ada, Dennis (Laurie) Badertscher of Bluffton, and Jerry (Jenifer) Badertscher of Ada, 18 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Angela Badertscher ; one great-grandson, Laken Woolum; Sister, Kathryn Ackerman.

Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada with David Badertscher officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.

Friends may call 3:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 23, 2012 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada and until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and/or Sugar Grove United Methodist Church, Ada.
