Helen was a devoted and loving daughter, sister, and friend. Having been born and lived her whole life in Boise, she was a member of Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, as well as Philo Ptochos, "Friends of the Poor".
She attended Boise schools and was a graduate of Central Elementary, Boise High, and Link's Business College. Her working career spanned more than forty years, most of the time as an employee of the Army Air Force at Gowen Field and the Bureau of Reclamation in Boise.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Bella Mastoris Alexander, a brother, Aleck, two sisters-in-law, Elli Tremulis Alexander and Pauline Lakos Alexander, and a brother-in-law, William Kanellis.
She is survived by her sisters, Mary Kanellis and Jennie Nikitas of San Francisco, CA and her brothers, Nicholas Alexander of San Diego, CA and Chris Alexander of Boise; as well as more than forty nieces, nephews, and cousins living in California, Arizona, Idaho, Utah and Florida.
She will be remembered for her kind and caring nature, as well as being an avid reader and movie fan.
A Trisagion Service will be held today (Sunday), March 25, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. at the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 26, 2012 at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church. A funeral luncheon will immediately follow the service with burial to follow at Morris Hill Cemetery.
