Wilma Alice Cross, age 88, of Springfield, MO, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2012, in Mercy Hospital. She was born June 1, 1923, in Grabeel, MO, to Robert and Loma (Stevens) Foster. She was the second of four children. Wilma graduated from Gainesville High School and started working at different places, retiring from Zenith Electronics in 62'. In 1948 she and Oliver Cross were married, they had 54 years together. In this union was born one son Bob. She was a long time member of First General Baptist Church of Springfield and attended as long as health permitted. She enjoyed collecting antiques, reading, puzzels, sewing, and her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Oliver; two sisters: Genelle Foster and Theta (Dickens) James; one brother R.C. Foster; two sisters in-law: Doris Ray and Gerry Finney; and a granddaughter Kiara Voyles.

She is survived by one son Bob Cross and wife Kim of Ozark, MO; one grandson Nicholas Voyles and wife Elyzabeth of Dixon, MO; four great granddaughters: Hannah, Skylar, Leila, and Maya; two sisters in-law: Juanita House of Seymore, MO, and Wilmadell Pierce; two special nieces: Mickey Matthews and Deanna Skerry; several other nieces, nephews, a very special long time friend Mary Hagler; an adopted daughter/friend Terrie Helt; as well as her church family.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Monday, March 26, 2012, in Greenlawn Funeral Home East with Rev. Dean Trivitt officiating. Burial will follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 4:30 PM Sunday, March 25, 2012, in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the First General Baptist Church of Springfield, MO.
