Sherman Cooper, 72, of 2907 SR 134 South, died at 12:15 P.M. Wednesday in Clinton Memorial Hospital after being in failing health for several years. His wife, Nola W. Hatch Cooper, to whom he was married Feb. 25, 1933, survives.
Mr. Cooper was born in Pike County, March 5, 1913, a son of Robert and Emma Mossbarger Cooper. He has retired from the Standard Oil Company. He was a member of Eagles Hilda Aerie 1224. Also surviving are a son, Ronald G. Cooper of Mason; a daughter, Mrs. Nancy (William) ILLY of Wilmington; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a brother, Milton Cooper of Lebanon, and a sister, Mrs. Peggy (Kenneth) Roe of Columbus. Two sons, Donald and Jack Cooper, and a daughter, Carol Cooper, are deceased.

Services were Saturday morning at the Fisher Funeral Home, Rev. Elmore Burkett officiating, for Sherman Cooper, 72 of 2907 SR 134 South, who died Wednesday at Clinton Memorial Hospital. Pallbearers were Bob and Tom Perdue, Ray, Jack, Jim, and Dan Cooper. Mrs. Kathleen Walker was organist. Burial was in Smith Hill Cemetery, Peebles Twp., Pike County, Ohio.
