Marlene Ames Candelario died on July 1 following an automobile accident in Sacramento, Calif. She had worked in Gardnerville for Contel (now GTE) in 1974 for two years. Her father, Buzz Ames, had been with Contel for 20 years, until his death in 1984.
Mrs. Candelario is survived by her mother, Joan Ames, of Gardnerville; sons, Brandon, Jason and Jeffrey, of Yerington; brothers, Matt, of Carson City and Ron, of Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.
Her brother, Arnold, predeceased her in 1992 in Stockton, Calif.
