He was the son of the late John B. and Ida (Miller) Ott.
Mr. Ott retired from the housekeeping department at Mount Saint Mary’s College, in Emmitsburg.
He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, in Emmitsburg, MD, and the Thurmont Riding Club.
He was the husband of the late Virginia L. (Baugher) Ott, who entered into Heavenly rest in 1981, and is survived by four children, John F. Ott, of Emmitsburg, Francis C. Ott, of Rocky Ridge, MD, Richard Ott, of Thurmont, MD and Patricia A. Glass, of Dover, DE; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; one brother, John "Jack" Ott, of Emmitsburg, and two sisters, Betty Weatherly, of Fairfield and Doris Asper, Hanover.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Charles R. Ott; one grandson, Christopher Ott; one brother, Lawrence Ott, and three sisters, Elizabeth Andrew, Mary Sutton, and Frances Matthews.
