Funeral Services Held in Burlington For E. Krokofsky; 72
Ernest Krakofsky, 72, died Saturday at the Walworth county hospital, following a two weeks' illness. Mr. Krakofsky was born Dec. 15, 1868, in Waterford. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Krakofsky. His boyhood was spent in Waterford, and as a young man, he came to Burlington, entering the employ of the late C. B. McCanna as a cheesemaker. Mr. Krakofsky and Julia Heiligenthal were married at Waterford Sept. 6, 1899. For a time after their marriage, they made their home in Waterford, coming to Burlington more than 30 years ago. Mr, Krakofsky worked at the carpenter trade, and later as a painter. Surviving are. his widow, Mrs. Julia Krakofsky, two daughters, Mrs. Theodore Stang and Mrs. John Trier, Burlington, and three grandchildren. He also is survived by a brother, A. B. Krakofsky, Waterford. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today at the McCarthy funeral home. Rev. Joseph Niglis officiated. Burial was in St. Mary's cemetery.
