Rites Held for Adrienne Foland

Adrienne Helen Foland, 74, formerly of Cumberland, died August 11, 1990 at the Box Butte General Hospital in Alliance, Nebraska.

The daughter of Archibald and Annis Faye McGrew Anstey, she was born September 26, 1915 in Cumberland and was married to Paul W. Foland November 30, 1939 in Creston.

She was a clerk for the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad, now the Burlington Northern.

Surviving are a son, Richard Foland of Alliance; a brother, Richard Anstey of Cumberland; four sisters, Dr. Miriam Anstey of Boston, Massachusetts, Dr. Eleanor Anstey of Iowa City, Mrs Harry (Alice) Porter of St. James, Minnesota, and Mrs. James (Betty) Dunn of Wheat Ridge, Colorado; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a brother and a sister.

Funeral mass was said at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 14 at St. Timothy's Catholic Church in rural Cumberland, with the Rev. David Santoro having the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial was in St. Timothy's Catholic Cemetery.

Steen Funeral Home of Massena was in charge of arrangements.
