Mrs. Thelma Haffey Reid, age 86, of Louisville, died Saturday, November 28, 1998, in the Hospice unit of the Alliant Hospital, Louisville. Mrs. Reid was a native of Cloverport, the daughter of the late JoJin Andrew and Margaret L. Pate Haffey. She was a retired credit clerk with the old Kaufman Straus Department Store and the old Stewart's Department Store in Louisville, a member of Crescent Hill United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and the Methodist Hospital Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, LaFayette L. Reid; a son James L. Reid, Sr., London; a daughter, Virginia R. Lund, Indian Head, MD; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, November 30 at Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home in Louisville. Burial was in Cloverport Cemetery with a graveside service being held there.
