Mrs. Lydia Hadsell died Sunday morning December 14, 1919, in Geneva, Neb., at the home of her son, M. U. Hadsell, aged 72 years, 7 months and 17 days. The body was taken to Tobias for interment and was accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. M. U. Hadsell and daughter Pluma; Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Hadsell and Rev. R. H. Thompson. The funeral service at Tobias was conducted at the Baptist Church by Rev. Mr. Thompson, assisted by Mr. Miller of Tobias.
Lydia Shull was born at St. Joseph Ind., April 26, 1847. She was united in marriage to Marshall D. Hadsell August 26, 1866. In early woman hood she united with the Christian Church in Indiana and later with the Baptist Church at Tobias, Neb., of which she was a member at the time of her death.
With her family, she removed to Cass County, Nebraska, in 1879, and to Saline County, Nebraska in 1885. She had made her home with her son in Geneva for several months. For some time she had been an invalid.
She is survived by three daughters and two sons; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and one brother and one sister.
