BROWN DEER, Wis. — Gertrude K. Miclot, 100, a resident of Brown Deer, Wis., formerly of Davenport, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2012, at the Lighthouse Retirement Home in Brown Deer, Wis.
Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport. Gertrude Kivlin was born July 24, 1911, in Davenport, the daughter of John Henry and Mary Ellen (McCarthy) Kivlin. Gertrude was united in marriage to Robert W. Miclot on December 30, 1935, in Toledo, Ohio. Robert preceded her in death October 4, 1984. Gertrude was a graduate of Immaculate Conception Academy. She had been employed as an accounting technician in the Comptroller's Office for the U.S. Weapons Command at the Rock Island Arsenal, retiring in 1980.
Gertrude was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society prior to her move to Wisconsin. Mrs. Miclot enjoyed reading and was a master bridge player.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul the Apostle — Altar & Rosary Society.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Jeanne M. (Dr. Owen) Klein of Windsor Ontario, Canada, Diane M. (Robert) Reisinger of Hackettstown, N.J., and Dr. Robert (Suzanne) Miclot, Jr., of Milwaukee, Wis.; five grandchildren, Andrew (Stephanie) Klein, Laura (John) Carlson, Katie (Lou) Probst, Mark (Stephanie) Reisinger and Michelle Reisinger; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Gertrude was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and five sisters.
