Sister Amelia Lang Is Dead At Age 69
Sister Amelia Lang. 69. Daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Lang of Victoria died Tuesday at St. Joseph Hospital in Concordia where she had been a patient four months. Sister Amelia was born and raised in Victoria and entered St. Joseph of Nazareth Motherhouse Convent in Concordia in 1909. She taught last year at the Damar High School and previously was a teacher at Tipton, Leoville, and Park in Kansas and Grand Island, Neb., and Silver City. New Mexico. She was one of thirteen children and is survived by four living brothers and two sisters: John J. and Bernard Lang, Victoria; Joseph Lang, Ellis; Anthony J. Lang. Hays; Mrs. George G. Dinkel and Mrs. Joe T. Pfeifer, Victoria. Funeral services will be Friday morning at 9:30 at the Motherhouse in Concordia and the body interred in the Mother House cemetery in that city.
The body will lie in state at the Mother House today and Thursday from S a.m. until 9 p.m.
