Also as to marriage to Eleanor Sidwell Coppock (also buried here died 1818), there is only one transcribed record that I saw, from Springfield Meeting records, of the marriage of his son, Samuel Jr. (1787-1867) to Rebecca Cobbs in 1813, where it gives his mother's name as Eleanor. 1748-Samuel seems not to have had a wife in 1812, when he came to Ohio with his younger children. Then in 1813, Jr names Eleanor as his mother.
Samuel Sr., on page with other family members in US Encyclopedia of Quaker Genealogy... was disowned for disunity in 1823. Perhaps this is why records for him later in life, and his death record, are not to be found, only this cemetery etched listing.
There is a contemporary woman, Eleanor Sidwell Coppock who is buried in this cemetery, so the assumption that this is his wife - have not seen a marriage record for that.
I welcome more information. There is another Samuel and Eleanor Coppock couple who lived in Lancaster County - more to look into..
