Grave transcribed from written records erroneously as "Winans" when it should be Winders.
Born Marthe Hinemann (Hinamon) to George and Margaretha Hinemann, and raised in Marion, Ohio.

Per the cemetery, there is no marker, but the grave was located.

Daughter of Jean George Heinemann and Margaretha Schmidt Heinemann, she was the fifth of eleven children born to the couple. Her place of birth is unproven, however, the Heinemann family emigrated from Bas-Rhin between 1828 and 1830, first stopping in Columbia County, Pennsylvania, on their way to Ohio. So it is believed that she was born in the US.

Married in Columbus Ohio to Andrew Jackson Winders, July 24, 1851.

One daughter, Alice A. Winders (later, Mrs. Charles Kraner).

Martha died in Franklin County. Her home was located in the area of what is now Spring Street and Normandy Avenue in downtown Columbus.

Shortly after burying his wife, A.J. Winders and members of his family left Ohio for Iowa. Alice was left with her aunt and uncle Fred and Abbie Hinamon of Marion County, and was reclaimed by her father once he was resettled. Alice was also raised by her Aunt Dorothea Hinamon Jones and uncle Isaiah Jones. She wed at their home in Marion in 1851.
