Elizabeth DeMoss Standley of Goldthwaite, Texas,
died Friday, May 28, 1999 at her home in
Goldthwaite, Texas. She was 77 years of age.
Mrs. Standley was born September 25, 1921 in
Nashville, Tennessee, the daughter of Tom and
Elizabeth (McFarland) DeMoss.
She married Ray A. Standley in October 1942 in the state of Idaho.
The couple moved to Goldthwaite from Midland Texas in December 1950.
She was a Methodist.
Survivors are her husband, Ray A. Standley of
Goldthwaite
Three sons: Dick Standley of Dallas,
Tommy Standley of Seattle Washington and Bobby
Standley of Norfolk, Virginia;
Two daughters: Mary
Carman of Birmingham Alabama and Evelyn Gholson
of Tempe, Arizona.
and four grandchildren, Brian, Lisa, Tyler,and Claire.
The funeral was Monday, May 31, 1999 at 2:00 p.m.
at the First United Methodist Church in Goldthwaite with Dr. Tom Loftin, pastor of the church officiating.
Interment was in the Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery, Goldthwaite, Mills County, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers were James Leonhard, James
Boykin, Bernie Hobson, Tyler Carman, T.J.
Blackburn, and Brian Standley.
