Memorial services for Mildred E. Bowers, 91, of Doubling Gap Road, Newville, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Newville Church of the Brethren, 16 Carlisle Road, Newville. She died Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, in Green Ridge Village, Newville. Born Oct. 25, 1910, in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of the late D. Cleveland and Blanche Miller Heller and the widow of Elden R. Bowers. Mrs. Bowers is survived by a daughter, Dixie Zeigler of Newville; a son, Russel Campbell of Oscoda, Mich.; two brothers, John Heller of Newville and Harold Heller of Shippensburg; three sisters, Jean Feeser of Mt. Holly Springs, Helen Fisher and Phyllis Shaffer, both of Newville; four grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Robert Heller, and a sister, Catherine Dyarman. Graveside services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in Newville Cemetery. The Rev. David Wilson and the Rev. John Hess will officiate at graveside and the memorial service. Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, Carlisle, is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial contributions can be made to her church.
