Mr. Hogan resided at 340 Wilson Street until he went to make his home with his daughter 3-1/2 months ago. He had been in failing health since Christmas and seriously ill for the last month.
A son of Mr. and Mrs. John Treon [sic], he was born Dec. 8, 1873, in the state of Indiana. He moved with his parents to Breckenridge as a small boy and had resided in Chillicothe since 1938. He married Sarah Dean Jones, who preceded him in death on Jan. 1, 1947. Mr. Treon was a member of the Christian Church.
Survivors, in addition to Mrs. Hogan, are two daughters, Mrs. Beulah Tait of Kansas City and Mrs. Mildred Howe of Madison, Wis.; a son, Otis Treon of Breckenridge; a brother and three sisters; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Treon was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Opal Gift, a brother and a sister.
Memorial services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the chapel of the Norman Funeral Home. The Rev. Walter L. Bingham, minister of the First Christian Church, will conduct.
