CORA STARNES WILLIAMS
KINGSPORT – Mrs. Cora Starnes Williams, 70, died at the home of her son, R. H. Williams, 1413 Oak Street, Sunday, at 6:55 p.m. after an illness of several months.
Mrs. Williams was a native of Hawkins County and had lived in Kingsport for the past 25 years. She was a member of the Mafair Methodist Church of Kingsport.
In addition to her son, she is survived by a grandson, Maurice W. Williams, employee of the Kingsport Times-News; two sisters, Mrs. George Campbell and Mrs. Bud Quarry, both of Rogersville.
The funeral services will be held Tuesday, 2:30 p.m. at the Hamlett-Dobson Chapel where the body will lie in state.
Burial will be in Kingsport Cemetery with the Rev. Lon A. Harmon, pastor of the Mafair Methodist Church, officiating. He will be assisted by the Rev. E. Gibson Davis.
