Her children, Jason and Jessica Bergstedt, were the core of her life. She lived a life extending her love to everyone around her. Karen was devoted to serving her Lord, her family and church. She was very active in church through several roles including signing and supporting the youth ministry. Karen loved music and enjoyed playing piano and her love for music flowed through her hands and glowed in her face. Her dedication and commitment to her church, family and Schwan's will be missed by many.
Karen died Saturday, September 2, 2000, at her home in Marshall.
She is survived by her children Jason Bergstedt and Jessica Bergstedt of Marshall, her mother Helen Guida of Tyler, siblings Mavis (Ron) Shriver of Woodbury, Dan (Sandy) Guida of Red Wing, Dave (Kathy) Guida of Tyler, Darla (Curt) Madsen of Tyler, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Karen is preceded in death by her father Don Guida and sister Betty Carlson.
