VERNON COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY OBITUARY ARTICLE: Roscoe Alderman
Roscoe Alderman, 66, of Route 3, Cashton, passed away at the Viroqua hospital Sunday, June 15, 1969.
He was born May 9, 1903 in the Town of Clinton to Mr. and Mrs. F. G. Alderman. He married Lela Perkins August 8, 1925. He was president of Union Local 1527, and also was a union division representative. He was a patrolman for the Highway Department for 26 years.
He is survived by his wife, Lela; a son, Myron of La Farge; a daughter, Mrs. Le Roy (Barbara) Schmitt of Sparta; five grandchildren; and one brother, Oakie of Westby. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services were held at the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church Wednesday, June 18, at 2:00 p.m., Rev. B. J. Talledge officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
