Agnes was either born in Bledsoe or Lawrence, TN. If you have a record, please tell me.

"There are many headstones unmarked and illegible. It is highly likely that they are all here. Her husband moved to Texas after his family death's." Kathy N., the archivist ay Lawrence County Archives, gave me this tip. She believes that the Ladies (Agnes & her daughters) are all buried here.

Agnes Jane Burch Bell's parents:

Henry Clay Burch, # 87232493 (1770 – 1837)

Agnes Stuart (our line), # 87214651 ((1785 – 1880)

[The Stuart line goes back to the 1300's--King of Scotland. We need family help to develope this family tree. Family lore through written papers tell about this.]

Her spouse & children:

John Newton Bell, Civil War Sergeant, #25289352 (1827 – 1900)

1.) Louisa C. (twin) Bell, 1848 – 1932

2.) Mary (twin) Bell, (1848 – 1858) (bur. Old Bethel Cemetery, 1908 letter from Hattie Elizabeth Alley Ashmore--Teresa Cozart shared letter.)

3.) Nancy "Nannie" Burgess Bell Ashmore

Birth: 14 Mar 1852, Maury County, Tennessee.

Death: 26 Apr 1933, Manor Cemetery, Manor, Travis, Texas.

Nancy's spouse: John Bloomer Ashmore, III, Civil War Prisoner.

Birth: 18 Jul 1846, Henryville, Lawrence, Tennessee.

Death: 2 Apr 1926, Manor Cemetery, Manor, Travis, Texas.

4.) Martha P. Bell, (1855 – aft 1860) (nothing more found on her)

Jan 2015 cousin, James Richards adds:

"Is Agnes the same as Annie? I also wonder about a small engraved stone next to Morton Sewell Burch's tombstone which just reads "Annie". I wondered if it could be for Annie?" No one knows. It is just speculation.
