Mrs. Ina Etheridge Fipps, 93, passed away Friday, 16 Mar 2012, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington. She was the daughter of the late Doward and Ada Long Etheridge. Mrs. Fipps was born 31 Jul 1918 in Columbus Co. NC, one of identical twin girls. "Miss Ina" was a devout Christian whose unwavering faith helped her negotiate the crossroads encountered throughout her life. She was devoted to her family and children, and loved by all who knew her during her long life.

Mrs. Fipps was predeceased by: her parents; her husband, David E. Fipps; four sisters, Martha Mae, Renae, Ena and Eva Mae Etheridge; and four brothers, Willie Bryant, James Carson, Joseph Dixon and Hubert Etheridge.

Mrs. Fipps is survived by: two sisters, her identical twin Nina Etheridge Fowler, and Mamie Sadie Etheridge Godwin; a daughter, Peggy Ann Fipps Lee; four sons, David, Michael, Jerry and Roger Fipps; nine grandchildren, Mark, Matthew, Angela, Christopher, Sean and Brandon Fipps; Lauchlin, Karen and Brian Lee; ten great-grandchildren, Jared, Haley, Shane and Kendall Fipps; Kristin and Kyle Lindbergh; Connor and Danielle Lee; Cole Honeycutt, Forrest Fisher, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation, no viewing, will be from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, 20 March 2012 at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel, 4108 S. College Road, Wilmington NC, followed by a funeral service from 2:00 to 2:40 p.m. with Rev. Steve Mattis of Myrtle Grove Presbyterian Church officiating. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Oleander Memorial Garden, 306 Bradley Rd, Wilmington
