Virginia A. Cary, 70, 1924 W. 11th St., died in Ball Hospital Thursday evening after an extended illness. She was born in Harrison Township, the daughter of Herman E. and Leona M. Burgess Cary. She attended Gaston School and moved to Muncie in 1929.
After coming to Muncie she worked at Ball Brothers for more than 30 years before her retirement.
Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Driscoll and Mrs. Robert (Luella) Badders, and Mrs. Lydia Deats; one brother, Bobby Gene Cary; one aunt, Mrs. Minnie Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Meeks Mortuary with William D. Meddock, pastor of Gethsemane United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. today and before services Saturday.
