Carl Walter Bowser, 74, of Grantsville, Md. died Friday, March 16, 2012 at Garrett County Hospital, Oakland, Maryland. Born August 6, 1937 at Cove, Md., he was the son of the late Ralph Jacob & Virginia Catherine (McClintock) Bowser.
Mr. Bowser was a retired mechanic for the Flushing Shirt Factory (Fechleimer's) after 31 years service and also worked in timber.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Francis (Pullin) Bowser, one son, Kenneth Carl Bowser and wife Phebe, Grantsville; one daughter Barbara Ellen Stanton and husband, Edward, Westminister, Md.; one brother, Max Bowser, Grantsville; 6 grandchildren, Brittney, Emily and Mitchell Stanton and Emma, Rachel and Evan Bowser.
Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller Street, Grantsville, on Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
GRaveside services will be conducted at the Addison Cemetery on Monday, March 19, 2012 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Karen Tate officiating.
