Actress. She appeared in roles in the theater, in motion picture, and on television actress in a career that lasted from the 1920s through 1970s. She won theater's 1955 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play for her role of 'Christine Penmark' in "The Bad Seed," which she later reprised on film in 1956. She was the older sister of actor Jack Kelly.
