Daniel Michael Buchanan (1855-1940) was born in Brighton, Racine County, Wis on September 28, 1855.

He was the Democratic candidate for U.S. Representative from Michigan 9th District, 1920; delegate to Democratic National Convention from Michigan, 1928 (alternate), 1932, 1936.

Died in Ludington, Mason County, Mich., January 30, 1940. Interment at Pere Marquette Cemetery, Ludington, Mich.

He is interred with his family---including his wife, Nellie.
