Howard J. Booher, 66, of Kittanning RD 7 died at 12:05 p.m. Sunday at the
Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. Born Dec. 5, 1910, in East Franklin Twp., he
was the son of David Lloyd Booher and Sadie (McDonald) Booher. He was a
retired-milk processor and worked for Better Dairies. He was a member of the
Kittanning Men's Club. Surviving are his wife, Ruby (Stepp) Booher; daughters,
Ruth Toy of Kittanning RD 6, Margaret Manson of Kittanning, Lily Dunn of South
Carolina, Linda Lou Wigand of Michigan, Hazel Booher at home; sons, Howard J.
Jr. of Oil City, Dave of Cleveland, Ohio, Homer Denton of Cleveland, Ohio, Harry
of Freeport, Johnny C. of Michigan, Robert of Pittsburgh, Norman, at home, Also
surviving are a brother, Homer Booher of Kittanning; half-brother David Booher,
Kittanning; sistes Elsie Petroff of Indianola; Florence Reiner of Oakmont, Anna
Easley of Kittanning, Ethel Shumaker of Vandergrift; half-sisters Mrs. Delores
Stahlman of Corsica, Mrs. Dolly King of Lorraine, Ohio; step-mother Mrs. Nannie
Booher of Corsica; 38 grandchildren and five step- grandchildren. A son and two
daughters are deceased. BOOHER --Friends of Howard J. Booher, who died Jan. 16,
1977, will be received after 7 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at
the John R. Kennedy Funeral Home where service will take place at 1:30 p.m.
Wednesday conducted by the Rev. II. Harrison Smith, pastor of the Center Hill
Church of the Brethren. Burial will be at Center Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by
Kennedy.
