STARK, Henry M.

ECKHART - Henry M. Stark, 96, of Parkersburg Road, died Wednesday at Frostburg Community Hospital. Born in Lonaconing, he was the son of the late John Stark and Jean (Robertson) Stark. Mr. Stark was a retired stationary engineer at Frostburg State College and was the founder and first president of the Maryland Classified Employees Association chapter at the college. He was a member of the Eckhart United Methodist Church, where he served in past years as a Sunday school teacher and superintendent and as a member of the official board. Mr. Stark was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by his widow, the former Clara Snyder; one son, John Stark, and two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Pryor and Mrs. Laura Jean Saathoff, all of Eckhart; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, Frostburg, Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home by the Rev. George M. Harpold. Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park. Pallbearers, all grandsons, will be David Stark, Jonathan Stark, Jay Stark, William Pryor, Bernard Greise and Edward Tippen.
