formally of Wythe County for many years. She died March 20. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Grace Akers of Newbern. She was also the niece of Stella Anderson of Newbern. Mary Frances was a fine dedicated person. The funeral was March 18 at St. Johns Episcopal Church in Wytheville. The Rev. Leland Smith officiating. Interment was in Forest Methodist Church cemetery in Ivanhoe. Flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Assoc. 301 Mulberry St., Macon, GA 31201 or your local Hospice. Mary Frances will be missed greatly by family and friends.
