Daniel Shunk 1788-1860
Daniel is my 4th great grandfather. Euphemia was not his wife but was his sister who never married. My grandmother Maybelle Shunk Thornton lived to 101 and left me much documentation including land records showing "Daniel and Elizabeth (his wife)" selling 1+ acres for $30 to Elizabeth Stultz near Union Town (now called Uniontown) MD on 4/28/1830. Elizabeth's maiden name is Hollenberger. I have photos of their son Samuel G. Shunk and his wife Catharine Hyter Shunk. Euphemia actually helped Elizabeth learn to be a good housekeeper because Elizabeth was only 16 when she married Daniel. My grandmother's aunt (Margaret A. E. Shunk Myerly) left a letter saying Daniel Shunk married Elizabeth Hollenberger. Daniel and Elizabeth were her grandparents.
