Obituary Aspegren--
Hilma Emelia Aspegren, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John P. Peterson, was born June 17, 1880, near Saronville, and passed away quietly June 28, 1954, at the age of 74 years and 11 days.
She was confirmed and joined the Saronville Methodist church where she remained a member until her death.
She was married to Edmund Aspegren May 12, 1902. Two years ago they celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary. To this union three sons and a daughter were born. A son and daughter died in infancy.
She and her husband lived on the farm near Saronville, until 1947 when they moved to town. They resided there until her death came while she was resting Monday afternoon.
Surviving are her husband; two sons, Melvin of Saronville and Burdette of Sutton; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; six sisters, Mrs. George Israelson and Mrs. Grant Israelson of Saronville; Mrs. Ed Johnson of Harvard; Mrs. George Rodelius of Evanston, Ill.; Mrs. Wesley Sandburg of Hastings; Mrs. Charles Swartz of Lincoln; two brothers, Eddie Peterson of Great Falls, Mont., and Roy Peterson of Denair, Cal.
She was preceded in death by three grandsons; two sisters, Mrs. Elmer Aspegren and Mrs. Ed England; and a brother, Wendall Peterson.
Funeral services were held at the Saronville Methodist church, Thursday afternoon, July 1. Rev. L. O. Seger and Rev. C. L. Flickinger took charge.
Lester Nelson, Ted Nelson, Lorraine Aspegren and Carl Dedrickson, accompanied by Mrs. Lorraine Aspegren, furnished the music.
Pallbearers were Burnell Aspegren, Norman Weitzel, Raymond Peterson, Leland Aspegren, Arnold Aspegren, Robert Israelson, Kenneth England and Bernard Nelson.
