The Rev. James Andrew Blair, 75, of Crossville, passed away June 25, 2004.

Funeral services were conducted June 27 at Crossville First Freewill Baptist Church and June 29 at Troy Freewill Baptist Church in Troy, OH, with burial in Miami Memorial Gardens in Covington, OH.

The Rev. Blair was born Oct. 10, 1928 in Paintsville, KY, the son of Hollie and Elizabeth Blair.

He was a retired minister, a member of Williams Road Freewill Baptist Church and attended Crossville First Freewill Baptist. He pastored for more than 30 years in the Ohio area and was the founder of Troy Freewill Baptist Church in Troy, OH. He truly loved taking care of his people in the church.

He was also a U.S. Army veteran, having served our country during Korea.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Blair of Crossville; sons and daughters-in-law, Dan and Vivian Blair of Troy, OH and Lynn and Joan Blair of Marion, OH; daughter and son-in-law, Terry and Justin Looper of Rickman, TN; brother, Elmer Blair of Springfield, OH; sisters, Geraldine Blair of New Carlisle, OH and Lorrine Hannah of Leander, KY; uncle, Gail Blair of Paintsville, KY; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Pauline Blair and Imogene O'Brien; and brother, Earl Blair.
