Bash's full name was Mary Elizabeth Savannah Bashabee Green. She was our mother's Vona Green Williams maiden aunt. Mother lived with her Aunt Bash as a young woman before she married in 1942. Mother said Aunt Bash squatted down to take a pan of bread out of the oven and fell backwards dead. She was at her sister's Joanna Green Nichols house when this happened. Mother loved her Aunt Bash very much for she was very kind to her. Mother said she was a sweet old lady.
