Obituary.
AMBER MARY SAVIDGE.

DIED: Death came to Mrs. Savidge at
tbe home of her parents, February
4,1905, after long suffering.

In the midst of sorrowing relatives
Mrs. Amber Mary Savidge, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Evans, departed
this life, February 4th, 1905. She
was born Feb. 19, 1867, and spent her
girlhood and early womanhood in the
immediate vicinity of Racine, Minn.
She was an earnest Christian worker
and at the time of her death was an
active member of the First Baptist
Church of Minneapolis, Minn.

In 1889, she was married to J.T. Savidge
of London, England, and went immediately
to Denver, Colorado, to live
where she spent seven years of happy
wedded life. During this time were
born to them two daughters who are
left to lament the loss of that one whose
place can never be filled in their hearts.
In 1896, a heavy cloud came over her
life caused by the death of her husband.

Life now became a sterner reality to
her than ever before. She continued
to live for a few years longer surrounded
by the scenes of her life but in 1900,
was compelled to return to her native
state on account of her health.

Her noble characteristics of unselfishness
and devotion to others even
during the last painful year of her life
made her a living example of these two
splendid virtues. Such a life is never
lived in vain for the world which knew
her was the better for having been in
it although she was denied the one desire
of seeing her two daughters grown to
womanhood yet the fact that she lived
long enough for them to know and
appreciate her noble qualities of character
will always be their one consolation.
Besides her two daughters she
leaves a father, mother three sisters
and two brothers to await the final
reunion.

Card of Thanks.
To all the kind friends who so nobly
aided us in our recent sorrow we desire
to express our heartfelt gratitude.
C. D. Evans and Family.
