Funeral services for Velma Jewel HURLEY, 97, of Guthrie are scheduled for Sept. 24, at Smith Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Summit View Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home
Velma was born Oct. 20, 1900, in Greenville, Texas, to Samuel and Annie COOK. She died Sept. 21, in Guthrie.
Hurley was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Hurley; one son, Joe Hurley, and three grandsons.
Survivors include one son, Jack; one daughter, Mary; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.
