Mrs. Carrie Cooper Dies at Her Home
Mrs. Carrie Cleveland Cooper, widow of George Cooper, passed away at three o'clock Monday afternoon (November 22, 1948), at her home, 539 Third Avenue.
Mrs. Cooper was born on the Windfall Road, Town of Portville, July 15, 1862, and had lived in Olean most of her life.
She was the oldest member of the First Baptist Church, Olean, having joined the church at the age of twelve years, and she was a member of the Philathea Class of that church.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. G.A. Royer, at home; two granddaughters, Miss Elizabeth L. Royer, Cleveland, Ohio and Miss Helen W. Royer, Niagara Falls; one grandson, Frederic L. Royer, Washington, D.C.; two great grandchildren, Frederic D. Royer and Miss Carol Royer, both of Washington, D.C. and several nieces and nephews.
Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
