Octave J. ARCHAMBEAULT, 93, Argos, died Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the TLC nursing home. He had been ill three years.
Born Aug. 17, 1876, in South Bend, he was the son of John and Margaret VERIER ARCHAMBEAULT. His marriage was Nov. 17, 1897, in South Bend, to Ida A. McWILLIAMS. She died July 12, 1947.
He had lived in Argos 56 years, moving from Mishawaka. He was a retired farmer, and a member of the Argos Izaak Walton League.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Howard (Lillian) CHAPIN, Huntington; Mrs. Violet HERRIN, Argos; Mrs. Charles (Margaret) HIGEINBOTHAM, Niles, Mich., and Mrs. Marvin (Virginia) ROMINE, Etna Green; three sons, Clarence [ARCHAMBEAULT], Argos; Melvin [ARCHAMBEAULT], Burbank, Cal., and Jack [ARCHAMBEAULT], Bourbon; thirty-one grandchildren; seventy-six great-grandchildren; and twenty-nine great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Ida May CULLEN, Largo, Fla.
One son, Russell [ARCHAMBEAULT], died in infancy.
Final rites will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Grossman funeral home at Argos. The Rev. Russell GOOD will officiate.
Burial will be in the New Oak Hill cemetery at Plymouth. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
