ADAMS, BENJAMIN L. 66 - of Little Egg Harbor passed away at home on Thursday, February 2, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Langhorne, PA he was a lifelong resident of West Creek before moving to Little Egg Harbor in 1994. He served our country in the US Navy from 1962 to 1964 where he also enjoyed boxing. He followed in his family's trade as a Bricklayer in the Bricklayers Union Local #5. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and was a Past Sachem in the Tuckerton Red Men Lodge, Pohatcong Tribe #61.

He was predeceased by his parents Allen and Mary Adams, brother John Adams and sister Ann Holloway.

He is survived by his loving wife Amelia M. "Peg" Adams, son Lt. Col. John E. Adams (Megan) of Hawaii, daughters Dawn Marie Adams (John Stone) of Buena, and Victoria Hawkes (Bryan) of EHT, brother Allen G. Adams (Edna) of GA, sister Marie Pharo of Mayetta, seven grandchildren and three step-grand-children. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; the family extends a special thanks to Brad and Carole Adams for their assistance in Ben's care.

Family and Friends are invited to Ben and Peg's home, 2 Greenbriar Dr. Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087 on Monday February 6, 2012 beginning at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to AtlantiCare Hospice and Palliative Care PO Box 1626 Pleasantville, NJ 08232.
