C. R. PHILLIPS DIES AT HOSPITAL

FINAL RITES WILL BE CONDUCTED THIS AFTERNOON AT 4:30 O'CLOCK

NORTH, FEB. 25 -- C.R. Phillips, 72, a farmer of this section, died today at the Tri-County Hospital from injuries received several weeks ago in an automobile accident.

Funeral services will be conducted at Hebron church near Livingston Friday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock by the Rev. Merriman. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mary Phillips; three sons, Tommy, Boyia and Jakie Lee Phillips, of North.

TO HOLD INQUEST IN PHILLIPS DEATH

Solicitor Julian S. Wolfe, after conferences with Magistrate E.S. Livingston of North, Sheriff Reed and Coroner Dukes, announced it was decided to hold an inquest at North tonight into the death of C.R. Phillips who was hurt in an automobile collision near North on January 24. He died at Tri-County Hospital here on February 25. The inquest is expected to get under way at seven o'clock.
