Freeda June Beard, 69, died March 13, 2012, peacefully in her sleep.

Freeda was born April 21, 1942 to Eurtle and Albert Cox of Catoosa. Freeda graduated from Catoosa Public Schools class of 1960. Freeda had worked in various occupations over the years, but her most prized was that doing wiring and circuit boarding for the NASA projects.

She is survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law Carolyn and Donnie Cox and Jerry and Lillie Cox; sister Janie Bickford; stepsons and Family, Kenneth and Rachel Beard, Steven Beard, Jeff and Lisa Beard; many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, cousins and friends.

Freeda was preceded in death by her loving husband Lamar Beard; mother and father; sisters, Alberta Hagan, Pauline Walker and Jackie Ross; brother Vance Cox.

A gathering of celebration in her honor will be held 5 p.m. Friday, March 16 at the Catoosa Community Center.
