He was born Oct. 24, 1914, near Napoleon, the son of Oliver and Edna Hoyer Bultman. He was a retired farmer and attended the Stewart School in Delaware Township. He was a school bus driver for the Napoleon and Jac-Cen-Del school systems from 1945 to 1981 and had served as president of the Indiana School Bus Drivers Association for 22 years. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Napoleon, where he had taught Sunday school and was a member of the church choir. He was a member of the Ripley County Farm Bureau and a former member of the Batesville Eagles and also a former 4-H leader for the Napoleon Fighters.
He is survived by two sons, Cecil A. Bultman Jr. of Napoleon and Denzil Bultman of Madison; one daughter, DeVota Dean of Osgood; one brother, Lester G. Bultman Sr. of Bedford; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Young Bultman, whom he married Dec. 30, 1935, and who died Sept. 29, 2007; one son, Donald Charles Bultman; his parents; two brothers, Woodrow and Dale Bultman; one sister, Ruby Stratton; and one grandson.
The funeral was at St. John's Lutheran Church in Napoleon. Burial was in St. John's Cemetery at Napoleon.
