Ada Anstey

Mrs. Ada Bernice Anstey, 88, of Massena died at 5;20 p.m. Wednesday at the Cass County Memorial Hospital. The daughter of John E. and Ethel McCormick Wyckoff, she was born Oct. 29, 1901, in Massena and attended Victoria No. 9 rural school through sixth grade and attended seventh and eighth grades at Mount Saint Scholastica School in Wichita, Kan , graduat­ing with top honors. She then attended Highland Parish Business School in Des Moines.

Her marriage to William C. Anstey took place June 22, 1922, at St. Timothy's Catholic Church in Reno. She was a longtime member of St. Timothy's Church of Reno and the Altar and Rosary Society until retiring to Massena, where she be­came a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Marian Amdor of Massena and her husband, Eugene; seven grandchildren, William Amdor of Massena and his wife, Mary; James Amdor of Massena and his wife, Dedrie; Thomas Amdor of Massena; Michael Amdor of Massena; Sheila Amdor and Elaine Hansen of Council Bluffs; and Rita Swanson of Las Vegas, Nev.. Also surviving are 13 great­ grandchildren; a sister, Florence Waters of Creston and her husband, Francis "Joe" Waters; two sisters- in-law, Betty Kauba of Prescott and Grace Anstey of Baeshar, Kan.; a brother-in-law living in Largo, Fla.; and a niece, Twylla Klingesmeth of Creston and her husband, Jim.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a sister, Inez Bruner; a step brother, Bernard
Wyckoff and his wife, El; two brothers-in-law, George Kauba and Calvin Anstey.

A funeral Maas will be said at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Massena, with the Rev. James Wadsworth celebrant and the Revs Thomas Pfeffer and John Bertogli concelebrants. Burial will be in the Victoria Center Cemetery near Massena.

A rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m Friday at the Steen Funeral Home in Massena and visitation may be made following 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
