Betty Mearle Treadway, 77, of Weaverville died Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2006, at Mountain Community Medical Services in Weaverville.

Private services will be held.

Mrs. Treadway was born Dec. 24, 1928, in Hobart, Okla., and moved to Trinity County about 1950.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include son Steven of Weaverville; daughter Sue Rhodes of Big Bar; brother Jim McBride of Clearlake; and two grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Forrest Funeral Home in Weaverville.
