Moses W. Cooper Settled In
State In 1890

Manitou, October 10 - Moses W. Cooper passed away very suddenly at his home north of town Sunday morning at 10:30 o'clock. Mr. Cooper was preparing to attend church Sunday morning when he was overcome by a stroke of paralysis.

Mr. Cooper was an early settler in Oklahoma, coming here with his wife in 1890 and settling on a claim near Delhi, later moving near Manitou, where he had since resided. He was converted at the age of 21 and united with the Baptist church and was ordained to deaconship. He was a member at Manitou until 1927 when he was instrumental in organizing the Otter Creek Baptist church, where he became a charter member and senior deacon and remained so until his death.

Rev. R. T. Baker, pastor of Otter Creek church, was in charge of the funeral, which was conducted at Delhi Baptist church Monday and interment made in Delhi cemetery.

He is survived by his wife and the following children: Mrs. Cora Wall, Elk City; Ommer Cooper of Raton, New Mexico: Louis Cooper of Los Angeles, California; Lee Cooper of Manitou and one sister, Mrs. Ella Migan, of Midlothian, Texas.

NOTICE TO CREDITORS
All persons having claims against Moses W. Cooper, deceased, are required to exhibit the same with the necessary vouchers, to the undersigned administratrix of said estate, at the office of Mounts & Chamberlin, attorneys at law, Frederick, Oklahoma, within four months of the date hereof, or the same will be forever barred.
