Moundridge, Kan. —
Monroe S. Toews, 91, died Jan. 18, 2011, at the Moundridge Manor.
He owned and operated a livestock feed store in Winton, Calif.
Survivors include his wife, Marguerite, Moundridge, sons, Randall Toews, Salem, Oregon and Michael Toews, Merced, Calif.; daughters, Diane Haynes, Carson City, Mich., and Nadine Unruh, Galva; brother, Roy Toews, Scio, Ore.; sisters, Bertha Jantz, Atwater, Calif., Lorraine Jantz, Cole Camp, Mo., and Marlene Jantz, Uvalde, Texas; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Lone Tree Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, rural Galva. A service will also be held in Winton, Calif. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. with family present from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Moundridge Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Winton District Cemetery, Winton, Calif. Memorial donations are suggested to the Moundridge Manor, in care of the funeral home.
