John Baumann Dies, Had 143 Descendants

John W. Baumann, 84, of 239 S. Walnut street, Kimberly, died at 12:05 a.m. today after a long illness.

He was born July 15, 1875, in the town of Grand Chute, and operated a farm on route 2, Appleton, before retiring and moving to Kimberly.

A solemn high mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Name Catholic church, Kimberly, with burial in St. Joseph cemetery, Appleton. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at Jansen Funeral home, Kimberly, where the rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today and Tuesday.

Survivors include the widow; six daughters, Mrs. Nick Fox, Kaukauna, Mrs. Ervin Stingle, Black Creek, Mrs. John Smits, Kimberly, Mrs. Clem Romenesko, route 2, Appleton, Sister Mary Florian, Manitowoc, and Mrs. Leonard Tennie, route 2, Shiocton; six sons, Frank, route 2, Franksville, Victor, route 2, Black Creek, John, of Kimberly, Silverius, Neenah, and Cyril and Harold, both of route 2, Appleton; 83 grandchildren and 54 great-grandchildren.
