William Richard Bagsby St., 82, of Fancy Farm, Ky., formerly of East St. Louis, Ill., and Millstadt, Ill., born Jan.3, 1922, in Fancy Farm, Ky., died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004, at Western Baptist Hospital, Paducah, Ky.
Mr. Bagsby was a retired inspector for Sterling Steel, Sauget, Ill. He was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, Fancy Farm, Ky. Mr. Bagsby was a World War II U.S. veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents Claude and Lillie May, nee Hobbs, Bagsby; a sister, Mary Agnes Bagsby; and a son, William Richard Bagsby Jr.
Surviving are his wife, Loyola "Lodie", nee Emmendorfer, Bagsby of Fancy Farm, Ky.; a daughter, Rose Bryant of Fancy Farm, Ky.; a daughter-in-law, Linda Bagsby of Smithton, Ill.; a sister, Alma (Del) Snow of Mayfield, Ky.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous in- laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent dePaul Society, card of St. Jerome Catholic Church, Fancy Farm, Ky.
Visitation: There was no visitation.
Funeral: A private family funeral service was held Monday, Nov. 22, 2004, at Brown Funeral Home, Mayfield, Ky., with the Rev. Dave Johnson officiating. Burial was in St. Jerome Cemetery, Fancy Farm, Ky.
